Export Settings for Short AI Clips: Ratios, Length and Quality

AI trend videos are usually generated once and then re-posted across several apps. A few export choices decide whether the clip looks crisp everywhere or gets crushed by compression.

Aspect ratio

Use 9:16 vertical (1080×1920) as the master. TikTok, Reels and Shorts all prefer it, and a centred subject survives the occasional 4:5 crop in feeds.

Length

Most trend clips work at 5–10 seconds. Short clips loop, and loops count as rewatches. If the app supports it, end close to your first frame so the loop feels seamless.

Quality

• Download the highest resolution offered, not a screen recording.
• Upload over Wi-Fi; some apps compress harder on mobile data.
• Avoid re-saving the file through a messaging app first; that adds a second round of compression.

Text and safe zones

Keep captions away from the bottom 20% and right edge, where app buttons sit.
